The partnership
Two charts, one business.

The White House porch in downtown Clayton, where we met. That’s the moon over the roof.
Mariam and I met on the front porch of the White House in downtown Clayton. She’s the only person I’ve met here who has also been to Sri Lanka. That night I looked up and saw Saturn. Later we laid our charts side by side, and there it was again.
Jupiter and Saturn
My chart is ruled by Jupiter. Hers is ruled by Saturn.
Jupiter says yes. Saturn says not yet, do it right. A business needs both.
What she brings me
Her Saturn sits on the top of my chart.
The top of the chart is the Midheaven, where your work lives. Mariam’s Saturn lands right there in mine. She’s the one who slows me down long enough to make my big ideas hold weight. The planet I saw over Clayton the night we met is the same planet that holds our business together.
And my Jupiter and Uranus sit on the top of hers. I bring growth and sudden new ideas to her work. She brings time and structure to mine.

The sky over Clayton that night. That bright point is Saturn.
Fire and air
Fire needs air. Air needs fire.

Together
Two women, choosing ourselves.
We both gave years to American jobs and to raising our kids. Now we write about what comes after, together, in the Cosmic Diary.
What we send each other
Real life, at midnight, by text.
